I like creating images of rusting, abandoned technology. I imagine that the structures in the background are all that's left of a Las Vegas-like city that came to a bad end. The person riding the machine in the foreground is a scavenger. I think originally, I had planned to draw the rider bigger (he looks like he'd have quite a ways to go if he fell off!), as you can see from the rough sketches in the "Ancillary Details" section.
